Welcome! I’m glad you’re here.
I’m Enya. I am a licensed psychotherapist proving for adolescents and adults in New York. I arrived to this work with a deep desire to support and guide people in feeling seen and connected in their lives.
We are each embedded in a constellation of relationships, institutions, and the history of our families, communities, and cultures. Discovering who we truly are is complicated, especially when we receive so many external messages about who we are supposed to be. Even when it comes to therapy, we believe we must fix our feelings and figure out all the answers at lightning speed.
I believe when we slow down and get really curious about ourselves, this is when transformation actually happens. Curiosity in and of itself transforms us. In our work together, we will untangle internalized narratives about what healing “should” look like, and instead move toward a more embodied understanding of what healing can feel like. We’ll discover endless questions, and we might even learn how liberating it feels to accept we don’t have all the answers.
If this resonates with what you are looking for, I invite you to reach out so we can explore the possibility of working together.
Education & background
I received my Master’s in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University, along with a dual degree certificate in LGBTQ+ Health, Education, & Social Services.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and elders navigating intersecting identities related to gender, sexuality, race, culture, disability, and class. From facilitating art therapy exploring emotions with five and six-year-olds, to working with partners together for over 20 years, I continue to learn and grow as I connect with folks in all walks of life.
